This thick, creamy, nutritious drink will fuel you with energy at any time of the day when you feel low. Breakfast, before-bed warm drink, or simply a pre-workout or even post-workout snack - you name it.
This is a basic recipe with no added spice. You can drink this as it is or add your favorite spices to give it a kick. Some ideas for you:
Pumpkin spice latte for an energetic morning (with cinnamon, cloves, ginger and nutmeg)
Golden pumpkin milk to boost your immune system (with tumeric, cinnamon, black pepper..)
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked pumpkin or butternut squash puree
1 cup unsweetened milk of your choice (we will cook this later so choose milk that won't curdle under the heat)
4 cups water
1/4 cup sweet condensed milk
3/4 tsp salt
Instructions:
In a blender, add all ingredients and blend until smooth.
Strain it two times through a mesh strainer or a cheese cloth.
Transfer the milk back into a pot, heat it up on low-medium heat until it just starts to simmer. Stir constantly during this whole process so your milk won't curdle at the bottom.
Let it cool. Transfer to a bottle and store in the fridge up to 5-7 days. Shake well before use.
